Heroes
Hall of Fame

Almost 1700 men and women have represented the red, white and black throughout the club’s 150-year history, however only a chosen few have been forever enshrined in St Kilda Football Club’s Hall of Fame.

These Saints were revered among teammates, coaches, fans and the opposition alike for their longevity, commitment to the Crest and how they selflessly served the club on and off the field.

Every last one has rightly earned their place in history, immortalised both in the club’s hallowed halls and the everlasting memories of its fans.

Team of the Century

If every player in this team were able to take to the field in their respective primes, collectively, they would be unstoppable.

St Kilda Football Club’s Team of the Century is brimming with legendary captains, premiership heroes, Best & Fairest winners, multiple Brownlow medallists and undisputed heroes of red, white and black, combining for a line-up which ranks among the most talented of all-time.

The honour of being named as part of this this prestigious cohort is a testament to each great’s unwavering skill, strength and loyalty: the true marks of a Saint.

The Celebrated and Unsung Heroes of '66

When it comes to heroes of St Kilda, these 20 men sit head and shoulders above the rest.

Under the stewardship of coach Allan Jeans, this team has been engrained into the club’s very legend; the Premiership-deciding behind from a young Barry Breen bringing the club its grandest triumph in 1966.

But there’s far more than just that fateful point and this esteemed group. As is often said among football circles, it takes an entire squad to achieve the ultimate success, not just those involved in that defining day. Here is our tribute to all of them.

Indigenous Saints

St Kilda has rightful claim to the status of ‘trail-blazer’ when it comes to Indigenous footballers.

As of 2022, 31 Indigenous men and women have represented the red, white and black, with their incredible talent and ability to excite at the forefront of their careers.

From the trailblazing heroics Jim Wandin and Robbie Muir, the defining stands of Nicky Winmar and Gilbert McAdam, the modern-day future stars in Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera and J’Noemi Anderson and every other Indigenous Saint in-between, all have done their people proud and paved the way forward for future generations.
